The exam duration is 100 minutes, and a score of 700 or higher is required to pass . The certification requires annual renewal through a free online assessment on Microsoft Learn . Our course completion certificate is separate from the Microsoft credential.
How is this course different from your Azure Data Engineer course?
The Azure Data Engineer course focuses on building data pipelines, ETL processes, and large-scale data processing using Python, SQL, Spark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake. This Power BI course focuses on reporting, visualization, dashboard creation, and DAX functions. The job roles are different. If you want to build data infrastructure, choose the data engineering track. If you want to create reports and dashboards for business users, this is the right course.
Does the syllabus cover all PL-300 exam domains?
The syllabus covers data preparation, visualization, analysis, and management well. Data modeling is covered through relating tables and some DAX, but the depth is limited compared to the PL-300 modeling domain, which includes star schema design, relationship cardinality, and calculated tables . If you plan to sit the PL-300 exam, you will need additional study on data modeling beyond this course.
