In this tutorial, we will see how to mount an ISO file in windows 10 using Command Prompt and file explorer. We will not be using any 3rd party applications to mount.
Mount ISO image using command prompt / power shell cmdlet
Step 1 :
Press Ctrl+R to launch run window. Type cmd and click OK to launch a command prompt window.
In the command prompt enter the command PowerShell Mount-DiskImage and click enter. After we
second it will ask you for the image path. This is the path where your .iso file is located.
Enter the path of the iso image in ImagePath and press Enter, if you want to mount multiple ISO
images give another path in ImagePath and so on. If you want to mount only a single ISO, in the place
where it asks path for ImagePath just press enter again. This will mount the ISO. Open file explorer to
view the mounted ISO file.
Mount an ISO image using File Explorer
Mounting an ISO image using Windows 10 GUI is even simpler. Let us see how to mount an ISO image into File Explorer without using any third party applications.
Using File Explorer navigate to the path where your ISO image is located.
Right-click on the ISO image and click Mount.
ISO is mounted into the file explorer.
